The company’s latest strategy centers on the AlphaConnect platform, a digital layer intended to harmonize diverse storage assets. By providing open APIs for virtual power plant operators and aggregators, the system enables interoperability across twelve countries. Current deployments include a notable integration with Octopus Energy in the UK, which optimizes charge and discharge cycles to capitalize on fluctuating grid tariffs. This software-first approach now links over 100,000 systems and 100 energy partners, allowing new integrations to be completed within four weeks.
AlphaESS pivots to energy software ecosystem at Intersolar 2026
Ten years after entering the European market, AlphaESS is shifting its focus from hardware manufacturing to integrated energy ecosystems. At Intersolar 2026 in Munich, the company unveiled new storage platforms and a connectivity suite designed to bridge the gap between industrial batteries, grid operators, and smart energy markets.

Hardware remains a cornerstone of the expansion, specifically targeting commercial and utility sectors. The STORION-LC-TB150, a 150 kW liquid-cooled system, aims to make on-site industrial storage less intrusive by maintaining noise levels below 60 dB. For larger utility-scale projects, the company introduced the Aster 6260, a 3.13 MW platform that leverages AI-driven maintenance. These products build on the company's recent regional growth, including the establishment of a Spanish subsidiary and the delivery of a 320 MWh project across Chvaletice and Kladno in the Czech Republic.
