The honorees will be officially recognized at the 18th Annual Induction Ceremony on September 24, 2026. Hosted by Danny DeVito, the event takes place at the newly completed Dream Live Performing Arts Center at American Dream. The selection covers a broad spectrum of influence, including arts, public service, science, and sports, reflecting the state's historical and contemporary impact on the national stage.

This year’s list features notable posthumous honors for figures such as philanthropist Geraldine R. Dodge, former Johnson & Johnson CEO James E. Burke, Congressman Donald Milford Payne Sr., and sports executive Dr. John J. McMullen. Representing the living legacy of the Garden State, the cohort also includes rock band The Rascals, Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Robert C. Garrett, and Make-A-Wish New Jersey President Tom Weatherall. According to NJHOF President Steve Edwards, the inductees embody the spirit of Areté, or the pursuit of excellence against adversity.

Since its inception in 2008, the organization has inducted over 260 individuals, aiming to provide youth with tangible examples of leadership and achievement. The museum and year-round programming at American Dream will continue to serve as the primary site for preserving these legacies, with general admission details for the upcoming ceremony expected to be released in the coming months.
