Zennor Asset Management’s latest Luxembourg-domiciled fund aims to capitalize on Japan’s cash-rich corporate landscape. Managed by CIO David Mitchinson and Nicolò Vezzoso, the vehicle focuses on 350 major Japanese companies, specifically targeting 25 to 55 firms categorized by overlooked assets or mispriced cash flows. This addition rounds out Zennor's existing suite of Japan-focused products, which have been expanding steadily since the firm’s 2020 inception.
In the clean energy sector, Spiro has finalized a $270 million funding round. The African EV platform, which has deployed 100,000 vehicles, received a critical $55 million injection from Shanghai-based NewTrails Capital. This partnership highlights the increasing role of Chinese supply chains in Africa’s green energy transition, according to NewTrails founding partner Yufan Zhang.
