The order, announced June 15, follows a similar 15 MW contract placed by the same customer in 2024. Deliveries of the 100 kW modules are scheduled to commence in the second half of 2026. Ballard Power Systems Secures 15 MW Stationary Fuel Cell Order
Vancouver-based Ballard Power Systems has landed a 15-megawatt order for its hydrogen fuel cell modules, marking a repeat commitment from a renewable energy client. The deal involves 150 units of the company’s FCmove-HD+ technology, intended to replace diesel generators in off-grid sectors like construction and critical infrastructure.
Beyond the hardware, the agreement includes Ballard’s service suite, covering predictive maintenance and performance optimization. These fuel cell systems are designed for scalable deployment, serving as prime, peak, or backup power sources. By targeting off-grid applications such as live events and film production, Ballard aims to displace diesel-based generation with cleaner, low-noise alternatives.
