The Australian-engineered display system, developed by Remarkable Media, debuted with an afternoon flight synchronized with the DPAA Global Video Everywhere Summit. Launching from Newport Helistop in New Jersey, the aircraft tracked along Chelsea Piers before heading toward the Statue of Liberty. An evening flight followed, showcasing content from Byron Allen’s media group, a move that signals the company’s intent to secure a permanent foothold in the American advertising market.
HELI-D Launches Massive Flying Digital Screen Over New York City
A massive carbon-fiber LED screen suspended beneath a helicopter traced the Hudson River on October 13, marking the official U.S. debut of HELI-D. The display, which is billed as the world’s largest aerial digital screen, launched with back-to-back flights targeting major landmarks and industry events.

Unlike static billboards, this mobile platform offers brands a dynamic, high-visibility alternative for product activations and public awareness campaigns. CEO Simon Powell stated that the partnership with Byron Allen and the DPAA provides a strategic entry point into the competitive New York market. The company, which already operates in the UAE and Australia, claims its technology can transform airspace into a programmable communications platform while maintaining a carbon-offsetting sustainability program.
