AARCH Brings Luther Vandross Tribute to Frederick’s Weinberg Center

The African American Resources – Cultural and Heritage Society is turning to the stage to fuel its mission, hosting a tribute concert at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on October 11. The event, titled "Luther Re-Lives: A Night to Remember," promises a full-scale recreation of the late singer’s soulful legacy.

William "Smooth" Wardlaw headlines the performance, channeling the vocal precision and stage presence that defined Vandross’s career. Backed by a live band and a team of powerhouse vocalists, the production aims to replicate a Las Vegas-style experience while anchoring the evening in the context of Frederick County’s local cultural preservation efforts.

Tickets are currently available through the Weinberg Center box office, with prices ranging from $45 to $85. For those seeking a deeper experience, a $110 VIP Superstar Bundle grants access to premium seating and an invitation to a post-show reception. All proceeds from the evening are earmarked for AARCH, supporting the organization’s ongoing work to document and celebrate the history of African American communities in the region.
