Arbo Acquires Cone CPA to Unify Financial Tech and Advisory Services

By absorbing the Atlanta-based Cone CPA Firm, Arbo is merging its automated financial software with traditional accounting expertise to eliminate the divide between digital tools and human guidance for growing businesses. The deal, which became effective April 24, 2026, aims to consolidate tax, compliance, and CFO services under one roof.

Arbo Acquires Cone CPA to Unify Financial Tech and Advisory Services

For years, business owners have navigated a fragmented landscape, often forcing them to split operations between software platforms and external accounting firms. Arbo, known for its technology that automates IRS transcript retrieval and financial reporting, now intends to bridge this gap. By integrating Cone CPA Firm, the company provides a singular ecosystem where automated data flows directly into the workflows of human advisors.

Saurav Bhandari, CEO of Arbo, stated that modern finance leaders require more than isolated software or advisory services. The expansion allows the firm to offer fractional CFO support and strategic tax planning backed by the company's proprietary infrastructure. For existing clients of the former Cone CPA Firm, the transition maintains current service commitments and personnel, ensuring that the shift to the broader Arbo platform does not disrupt ongoing operations. John Cone, who led the firm for 12 years, emphasized that the merger maintains a focus on long-term client success while scaling the resources available to them.
