Ellis officially stepped into the role in late July, bridging the firm's executive leadership in London with its dedicated finance team in Bristol. He brings over 12 years of industry experience to the position, having previously served as director of strategy, financial planning and analysis at Kingswood Group, and holding a prior tenure at NatWest Group. An economics graduate of the University of St Andrews, Ellis is expected to leverage his background in audit and commercial finance to drive the firm’s future growth.
Edward Ellis Named CFO at Clifton Asset Management
London-based Clifton Asset Management has appointed Edward Ellis as its new chief financial officer, filling the vacancy left by the retirement of Ellis Organ. Managing £4 billion in assets, the firm tapped the former Kingswood Group executive to oversee financial strategy as it serves over 15,000 clients.

His predecessor, Ellis Organ, departs after a tenure spanning nearly 30 years. CEO Neil Greenaway credited Organ with establishing the core infrastructure that currently supports the business. As part of the wider Clifton Group—which includes Clifton Wealth Partnership and Morgan Lloyd—the firm remains focused on its substantial pension and investment portfolio, with leadership noting that Ellis has already begun integrating with the team to steer these operations.
